Why Cleanzilla exists

Every cleaning company says the same things. Reliable. Professional. Attention to detail. Fully insured. None of it is checkable, and all of it is claimed by the companies doing a bad job as loudly as by the ones doing a good one.

That’s a structural problem, not a marketing one. Cleaning gets delivered when the client isn’t there, at night, at the weekend, between guests. Every other supplier relationship has natural verification built in. You can see whether the courier delivered. You can taste whether the caterer was any good. With cleaning, you walk in the next morning and form an impression.

Impressions are how standards drift. The bathrooms stay done, because complaints about bathrooms are immediate. The dusting stops. The edges stop being vacuumed. Three months later someone says the place doesn’t feel as clean as it used to, and nobody can establish when it started or what changed.

What we did about it

We built our own operations software instead of buying an off-the-shelf scheduling tool. Our cleaners work from your specific checklist on their phone, marking each task done or not done as they go and photographing completed areas. That record goes straight into a portal you log into.

It means a few uncomfortable things for us. Failures are visible. If someone misses the window sills, you see it, we can’t quietly hope you don’t notice. We think that’s the right trade. A record where everything always passes isn’t a record, it’s a formality, and the discomfort is exactly what keeps the standard up.

How we work

• No lock-in contracts. A contract that traps you removes our need to earn the work each month. We’d rather keep that pressure on ourselves.
• We’ll tell you when we’re not the right fit. If your site is outside our range, or the budget doesn’t match the job honestly, we’ll say so on the first call rather than quote something we’d have to walk back.
• The price is the price. Quoted after we’ve seen the actual building, with the consumables allowance stated in dollars and periodic work listed separately.
• Everyone is police vetted. Before they hold a key, no exceptions, and the record shows you who attended every single visit, so you can verify it rather than trust a policy statement.

We’re based in Hamilton and service the wider Waikato: Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Raglan, Matamata, Morrinsville, Ngāruawāhia, Huntly, Taupō, Tokoroa, Thames, Whitianga, Coromandel. Being genuinely regional means most towns sit on an established run rather than being a one-off trip, which is what makes the scheduling reliable rather than best-effort.
